Default s197 pcv ?

Hey i have a ? i purchased a catch can to put inbetween my pcv line that goes into the intake because i installed a supercharger on my car and i was getting alot of blow by. I installed in on the drivers side of the car, and i catch a fair amount of oil in the catch can, my ? is on the passenger side valve cover there is another hose running from an attachment on that sides valve cover, is this also part of the pcv system and if so should i install another catch can on that side of the car. I know these cars do not have pcv valves just basically tubes that draw pressure and air from the valve covers into the intake . thanks in advance.

how you have it setup is correct.
with both lines attached you will only get the blowby out the driver's side.

so the line that is going from the passenger side directly into my air intake does not need to have a catch can installed on it?

there is no need for it with both lines still attached.
the passenger side will force the air in, and the driver side the air comes out.
when you remove both sides and do breathers the ventilation is reversed, but thats another thread.
so how you have it is correct.
there are other ways to deal with blowby, but for a single oil separator you will only need one line on the side you're getting blowby.
if you remove the passenger side line, you will find there is no oil in the hose.

Just to let you know our cars do have a PCV valve in them, it's just built into the driver's side valve cover. It's not one you can change ufortunately.

you can get one at UPR products, or you can assemble one yourself using a Stef's or Moroso catch can.

here's the thread on the oil separator
https://mustangforums.com/forum/gt-s...modaddict.html

or you can get the UPR catch can. might be easier rather than get all the stuff seperately with the Stef's or Moroso setup.

another option is breathers

or you can do both sides into a breather catch can

decisions, decisions.

I actually went today to pick up a fuel filter and new PCV valve, and was told they would have to special order the valve. Now I know why. I know the PCV isn't that 'essential', but is there any kind of maintenance you guys do for it?
