Default Need Help - Hood Clearance w/ S/C

Hey guys, I wasn't totally sure where to post this because it's more than just an appearance question, but here it goes:

I need a new hood because of that chronic bubbling issue. I have finally decided on going with a heat extractor. I've asked around about it (including posting and searching the forums here), but not many solid answers. I really do not like the squared-off look of this one:

...and it almost seems like too much cowl for road racing.

I have settled on the Boy Racer hood (I know, the name just sounds kind of strange), because there is no cowl:

Here's the deal: will this hood give me enough clearance underneath with my Vortech V-3 HO? This site says "no":

http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...M01&c=EX&m=all

However, I called up Mr Bodykit and they say as long as my Vortech fits under the OEM hood, it will fit under the Boy Racer...even though the Boy Racer lowers a little.

Listen, guys, my whole hesitation here is that NO ONE can give me a firm, "Yes, it will fit because I have that hood AND a centrifugal blower...it fits fine." Last thing I need is to drop $800 + shipping on a hood, get it, and it doesn't fit.

There has to be someone out there who runs this setup...please advise, and thanks in advance!

favorites. i hope someone can confirm one way
or the other for you.

Speaking from personal experience on my own Paxton supercharged S197, as well as what is stated, this hood DOES NOT clear your application. Just figured I would help out!

But shoot me a PM and we can go over the difference hoods that will work and still have functional heat extraction performance.
