In Texas, it's been my experience that insurance is about 5-10% of the vehicle's value annually.

IMO I would buy a used mustang gt model year 07 or later. I bought new once and won't ever be doing it again. You save too much money buying used. Used isn't bad at all, I think people just believe the word "used" has bad connotations. Speaking from experience, it doesn't.

You under 25? If your older like me 40s, then it doesn't matter. I paid $1000 a year for my new $46k vipertruck in 04. Six years later no change.

There seems to always be a few odds and ends that occur in the first year run of a new model, in this case; redesigned.

Although there is something fun about having the latest and the greatest.....

It tough, you can be in a 05 or 06 supercharged and be around 20k. But, before you know it you will be at the 30k in the car. I got my 05 last year for $16,500 and already have another 10 at least in it and ive only had it for 10 months and it was in storage for 5 of them! if you go 11, your obviously going to have it financed and ford will make it look real pretty for you to just go with the premium. Or why not a used 2010 if you can find a deal then supercharge that!

Damn, you're right! Exactly 10% annually on my 06GT for what I paid, and probably a few more percentages for what it's worth. It's a scam I tell you!!!

I love the 2010 and up's front, but the back still kills it for me. the 5.0 would be cool since it's the new thing but if you want to go fast and that's your goal then the 05-09 makes the most sense. for low $20's you could have the car with a supercharger and close to 500whp. that's going to rape the 5.0 stock.

maybe in a year or so when the new 5.0's aren't getting a premium it'll make more sense to pick one up but it's not worth the money to me right now. for what a new 5.0 costs I could get a used GT500 with like 5,000 miles, that's the best option right there slap an upgraded blower on that and you're really flying

I'm voting 2011 GT. I just posted another thread on it. Performance is what you desire, the 2011 GT will be a good canvas to work with.

What about a GT500 that's a couple years old?
