SCT vs Diablosport Predator

I have the C&L Street tune from the older firmware on the U7140. It seems to run strong, but I have no idea if its a good tune without getting on a dyno. I have wondered this as well. Would ordering a custom tune be better than the canned tune that was dyno tested through C&L?

lot of ill-informed SCT "sheep" on these forums, sorry for the language... . of course the SCT holds a large customer base and its justified because of the large number of shops who support it, but its becoming a situation where they think the Predator is incapable. the poster who said that the predator is like "my first tuner" is obviously biased. very interested in what TuningSS has to offer. wonder if Mike provides or will soon provide tunes for the x-charger.

The person that writes the tune has an influence on performance, not if it's on a Diablo or an SCT handheld. The owner-adjustable settings are minor as opposed to the protected settings that only the guy writing the tune can adjust. In an attempt to answer what I believe is your question, I'd stick with the Diablo if that's what you have and find someone that writes custom tunes to support it. The canned Diablo and SCT tunes suck. A good custom tune, regardless if it's written for the Diablo or SCT, will kick azz.
