SCT vs Diablosport Predator
#21
lot of ill-informed SCT "sheep" on these forums, sorry for the language... . of course the SCT holds a large customer base and its justified because of the large number of shops who support it, but its becoming a situation where they think the Predator is incapable. the poster who said that the predator is like "my first tuner" is obviously biased. very interested in what TuningSS has to offer. wonder if Mike provides or will soon provide tunes for the x-charger.

If you already own the predator then I would say stay with the Predator. Some customers look at what range of vehicle they can tune with the programmer just in case they either decide to sell the programmer or purchase a different vehicle and go with SCT. Both devices offer you preloaded tunes and slots available so you can load any custom tunes. Custom tune wise, you can get an awesome custom tune for either device, just depends on the person who makes the tunes for you When you put two devices side by side you just have to find out "What features am I looking for in the programmer". People will always have mixed opinions on both devices

I've used both Diablo (on my '99) and SCT (on my current '06). The most important thing is to know what your local dynotuner prefers. My dynotuner exclusively tunes with SCT, so when I bought my '06, I knew which tuner I would choose. Having used both, I would quickly say that they are both VERY capable and have a wide range of user-adjustable parameters. My personal preference is the SCT for user-friendliness, but that's probably because I have a lot more experience with that setup.

Not New Orleans. I used to go to RWTD in Mobile, AL. I'm about to switch to Total Performance Solutions based on the recomendation of another forum member (Forensicsteve). They are just outside of Baton Rouge in Prairieville.
