Well, I thought you guys saved me $750. I bought a 2011 yesterday with the X-plan and $500 "cash rebate." After reading this thread, I called the dealer today, and he said he hadn't put the papers through yet, so I could still use any $750 rebate that I might find.

So, I went to another dealer (closer to my house) and picked up the "My Ford" magazine. However, the $750 rebate coupon in the dealers' magazines are samples only . . . they show a customer number of 12345678901 and actually have a watermark that says "sample." To get the actual rebate, Ford had to send you (personally) the magazine/coupon some time back.

After talking to my dealer again, we realized that this made sense. During our original negotiations, he had searched my name in the computer for any applicable rebates, and the $750 rebate would have shown up under my name if I had such a coupon that could be used.

Huh, the ones I got at my dealer do NOT say "sample" on them.
They are the actual one and have not only a promo code but a pin number on them as well.

Well, for your sake, I hope I'm wrong. The promo code should be the same for all (32244 or something similar). Its the "customer number" that is assigned to the individual as STUCKINNYFOREVER pointed out. In the "sample" I had, it had the generic, 12345678901.
