Default 2010/2011 owners, let's talk squeeks, rattles and vibrations.

Well as hard as this might be for some people to accept, yes I am asking about potential negatives/critiques in the 2010/2011 Mustang GT's.

I know most 2011 owners have only had their cars for a maximum of a month at this point, so I would hope to hell they would have no NVH issues at this point, but please chime in IF you have.

However, 2010 owners, you may in fact have them, and I'm interested to hear.
In 2005 we got my wife a new 2005 Infiniti G35 and within 3-4 months, we started getting buzzing, ticking and some rattling sounds. We'd get them fixed only for more to constantly pop up. It drove me crazy, as some were deep in the dash or center console so they weren't easy to diagnose or have "fixed" (which meant added foam tape to most).

So let me know how the 2010/2011 Mustang is doing in the squeak, rattle, buzzing or ticking plastic pieces, and general NVH department.
Also, if you hit medium to larger bumps in the roads, do you get a lot of clatter or rattles from interior parts too.

Thanks

I have had mine since November 09. No problems with NVH issues. I do have a SMALL rattle in the left door when I have the stereo insanely loud (I have aftermarket speakers) but it is occassional and not bothersome.

As for bumps, I try to avoid them or my rubber bands will break and damage a rim. But when I have hit bumps, I havent noticed anything out of normal. Overall I feel this car is screwed together very well.

It doesn't surprise me on your issues with the Infinity. I have noticed that Nissan products have a tendancy that way. Most late model Ford's are pretty tight.

Nothing on my 2010 after 5,300 miles. Looks and feels as if it was just made!

13 months/9K miles. No rattles or other noise issues. Unlike my wife's past two Hondas which both rattled excessively after a year or so.

I've got about 3600 miles on mine, it's a garage queen and weekend driver. I have no rattles or squeaks so far. In fact, it's the most solid and well built car I've ever owned. I really feel spoiled to drive it.

I've had my 10 GT since January; Daily driver. Solid as granite. No squeaks, rattles, or NVH of any kind. I'm actually suprised at how rattle-free it is for an American car.

Regarding Nissan, when I got my Mustang, I turned over my 2002 Nissan Xtrerra to my daughter. After 8+years the thing is solid as a rock. No rattles, squeaks after 60000+ miles. With a good cleaning, the truck would look like it came new of the lot (except for some fading plastic grill parts). Been very happy with that vehicle.

Flip, I don't know how you have the will power to limit your driving the Mustang to weekends, I love to drive this car...it beckons me...

(highjack over)

Anyway, 9mos and 12,000 miles and no squeeks or rattles, a solid ride so far.

Boston is known for its potholes and I hit a good one a month ago. After I slammed my right front wheel on this crater, I passed three cars with drivers looking at their wheels and on their cell phones.

I drove home (25 miles) not problem, I jacked and inspected and found no issue. I even had the dealer look when I brought it for routine service and nothing.

I beleive Ford built this thing right.

Almost three months and 2900 miles no issues at all. Tight as a drum.
