Since the California Special has no 5.0 badge on the front fenders, and, IMHO, the '11 badge is a bit large, I was thinking of ordering the old 5.0 emblems from LRS and putting one on the back edge of the hood, similar to the HEMI badges on the Challenger.
Opinions?
Attached is the old badge, in the approx location. I suck at teh Photoshoppage.

I wouldn't do it there.
Yes, I agree, not sure why Ford decided to enlarge the 5.0 badge by a bit from the old school 5.0, but I think if you are going to order a 5.0 badge, put it on the front 1/4 panel where it's established.
Also as I mentioned in another thread, I also think on top of making the new 5.0 badge a bit too large, they also have it a bit too high and too close to the door on the 1/4 panel, so I would not mimic that.
Put it a bit lower and more centered between the wheel well and the door opening seam.
Lastly not sure what Ford was thinking by NOT putting a 5.0 on the California special. Has any Ford marketing person spent any time in CA.
Most here are so full of themselves and full of ego, unlike Europe where it's considered bad taste to drive around with logos of how large your engine is, here in CA, they thrive on letting others know, "I got the big engine version, so **** on you if you have the base car."
If anything the CA special should have the large 5.0 badges and the rest have slightly smaller ones.
