Default Looking to purchase a 05-07

I sold my 99 GT a few months back, after driving for 5 years. Mistake. Looking to get into a newer body style.

Is there any difference in the 05-07? Other then price?

Are the LT's just as much of a PITA as the older 99-04?

Will 315's fit on these one's ok?

this will be my DD. 3.73's or 4.10s?

Is there any sites for exhaust clips on these body styles?

Thanks

On your gearing questions, I don't know. But, having owned an 07 and an 05, I can say the differences are subtle, if any. Stuff like illuminated entry when you hit the door unlock (07, but not 05) - that sort of thing.

Another thing that drives me up a flippin wall is the fuel filler issue on the 05's. I will be posting shortly with a request for help on that, but it's a known issue that Ford fixed at some point during the 06 model year (I believe) - makes the gas pump shut off prematurely some times, but not all the time.

As I recall (no pun intended), there was also an issue with the 05's, where the lower-right corner of the windshield leaked. People complained about wet carpet on the passenger side. I haven't seen that on my 05, so maybe it was an assembly issue that was corrected without any reengineering.

I know most members of this forum are much more technically savvy than I am, and you'll get answers to the important questions quickly.

The 07 is the first year they started offering heated seats. The later the year, the more creature features you get. Thats about it.

Watch out for the leakers, check passenger floor carpet.
LT install, same PIA but worth it IMO.
I have seen 315's on some cars but you gotta check the backspacing. 275-295 is more common.
4.10's all the way.
Youtube for clips.

for what it's worth, all stock 05/06GT have 3.55's and i believe 07GT was 3.31 with 3.55's as a 100$ option, and 08GT was 3.31 with 3.55's as a 300$ option.

Great, thanks all. This helps me out. How bad is the highway with a 5 speed with 4.10

Reason for asking 07 is 1% less on the interest rate vs. 05 model. Of course I would love to pay the 05 price. For future i think the 07 is a better option.

I did see a 05 supercharged saleen with 32K for 20K private seller...

If you're short (like me) be aware that the seat in the 05-06 doesn't go up as high as it does in the later models
