It will be close. Mine rubbed and I had to raise mine up in the back a little bit. It still needs another 1/4-1/2".

Man, if those work as good as they look, you should be set!

This might be the motivation I need to get a set ordered

Any idea on how this taller tire will impact your 1/4 times??

Just thought i would through this link up since a lot of you are interested in the nitto's. They have the best prices on nitto's i have found. Even better if you live outside of CA, not sales tax.

If you get these you will never spin again. Trust me.

Well then, get on the stick! Trash those F1 supercars.

I hear you'll run a full 1/2 sec faster.

Here is some math about how tire size and stuff affects rpm and mph

http://www.modularfords.com/forums/s...l=1#post885222

This tire is 28.9 inches tall according to Nitto. I made a spreadsheet with info from the above link. I'm assuming you have 3.55 gears. That big size tire would need a rear end gear ratio of 3.8 to have the same engine rpm at 70mph as the 3.55's would with a stock 27 inch tire height.

i knew you could run 555s on the street, no problem...but didn't know you could run the new 05s on the street...Obviously traction is going to be better (dry), but how is durability? I'm not looking for 60K miles, but do potholes, rocks or bumbs really hit them hard or can the 05s handle? I'm tossed between the 555s and 05s...

Nice setup bruce!
