Default Tint Ticket!

I live in MI and just got pulled over for having tint at 6 AM. I was at a light turning left and the cop goes by me on the crossroad. I pull behind him and he pulls off to the side and waits for me to pull me over. I roll down my windows just so he could see me but still got the ticket. I guess there is one cop in my area that gives out all the tint tickets, and I must have gotten him. What a piece! I'm thinking about just paying the fine and leaving them on.

Sorry to hear that, I've had my share of tint tickets. After the first one, you decide to test that the system, pay the fine, and keep the tint on....but after the second or third ticket, you'll be tearing it off and redoing it.

Wouldn't tearing it off and redoing it cost almost as much as the ticket?

Well, it all depends on if you got a warranty from the shop who put on the tint. They usually pull it off for free or for a smaller charge if you got a warranty with it.

I don't know how it works in your state, may be different, but when I got ticketed on my last car for it I had to bring the car to the inspection station for them to verify it was removed and send the paperwork from them with the ticket/payment. If you don't have to do that, I'd leave it on.

Grats. I got my first tint and no front plate tickets this weekend too. No plans of correcting either condition. I'll pay the fines and avoid the street racer hangouts on Friday nights in the future. I just wanted to pick a fight with a Chevy guy, shoulda stayed home.
