Yep, royally pissed me off. I had the Hurst with the white ball on my first Eleanor and loved the look.......until I started driving it. OK, I may be a bit hard on it, it was a positive shift.......just not smooth and easy.

Yeah, the hurst rattles quite a bit in the 3000-3500RPM range. If I had to do it over, i wouldn't get the billet shifter again, I will say I have the white ****, and it looks good on the inside.

I will have to keep my eyes open for an MGW.

If you do decide to go with the Hurst, send me a PM and I can give you some advice on things to make it more quiet.

it really is a shame because the Hurst does look sweet, but so far i have heard nothing but good reviews and opinions for the MGW so I'm going to go with that! I'll post pictures when im done with the install thanks again everyone!

p.s check out my "lets talk exhaust" thread and let me know what your opinions are

The hurst is kinda notchy..but i like it! had the billet one for 2 yrs now, and no rattles that an occasional shot of gun oil cant fix. looks great and fits my arm height and length perfectly...not for everyone though.

have the hurst com. plus in my gt... works looks and feels like a charm!!! if it rattles then you have somehow installed it wrong. plus the shelby gt's use it wich is another reason i went with it. its a tad notchy at first but will break in a week. i love it! and its by far the best looking shifter out there

Do the short throws help with the difficulty in 2nd to 3rd gear shift or does only
adding the CHE K-member brace with the limiters help that issue?
