I'm in the same boat as you with my flows. the problem is I had mine welded on so its gonna be a major pain changing them out. I was thinking of getting the new square AT classic setup, here's the cheapest I've found them:

I mean, as far as 'custom' exhaust jobs go, this one can't be that hard. All they really need to do is weld some 2 1/2 (i think that's the stock size) pipe on the end to match up with the rest of the exhaust and then some rods to match up with the hangers.

My only concerns are one, would the Super 44's fit in the back of the 05+ and two, would they sound as good as some the sound clips i have heard. Since we have axle back and not mid mufflers like the old ones do, does this extra pipe after the exit of the muffler help the sound? Or would it sound the same if you just didn't have any extra pipe after the muffler exits like on the 05+. I hope that made sense.

I currently have Hooker AeroChambers and while they sounded amazing, if a little quiet, with the stock exhaust system, my new long tubes get way too raspy at 2.5k on medium throttle.

Any recommendations for a resonator from summit or someone similar that will smooth it out?

Wont the classic ones drone with headers? I bought mine, American thunder from amazon.com . Just noticed the price is even lower now. I paid $308, now only $261 17410......just click on price.

808 hose are the ones that i have now. I like the 40 series though. The clip of the super 44 from flowmasters website is exactly the sound i am looking for. I would love to throw some super 44's on their but i don't know if they would work. Or, i could just get the 40 series axle back with everything ready for a quick 10 minute install and be done with it.

The super 44s will work, you just have to have them welded up into an axleback setup at a muffler shop. i have a set that im waiting to get on mine as soon as i get some time.

Jegs has them for $70 each. if you decide to get them, make sure you get them with the offset in,offset out.

Well shoot... for $140... that might be worth just trying and if i don't like it, just get the classic 40 series.

Our pipes are 2 1/2 inch stock right?

Yes...2 1/2 for our cars. the super 44s are just a 40 series with a 4 inch casing which produces a deeper sounding tone.

For an exhaust/muffler shop to fab something up with the 44 series to make them work for our cars would cost anywhere form $250 to $360 parts and labor. At least that was I was quoted.
