So my flows have finally given up on me.
When i got my 06 gt it was new, and at the time i got online and got some flow master mufflers right away. Shortly after, there were reports that the baffle inside the flows were breaking off and causing a nasty rattle for obvious reasons.
Well i counted myself lucky that i never got one of those plagued mufflers. A couple months ago i had Pypes long tubes and o/r h-pipe installed. Two days ago, i started to notice a buzz/rattle from 2.5-3k rpm. Almost sounded like it was coming from the front of my car, maybe a brake shield or something. Long story short, after jacking it up on a lift and revving the engine, it turns out the muffler was the cause. Now i have to get new ones. I mean i cant drive around with a rattle so i have too! Darn... the luck
So i was thinking about trying to new flow master square mufflers that are suppose to bring back that old 5.0 sound. However, i also loved SLP loudmouths i had on my 00 gt. But on my old car i just had catted h, and SLP. No headers and def not an o/r h.
My concern is that the SLP would just be too much and would sound bad given the long tubes and o/r h-pipe.
Any suggestions?

You do have to custom fit them. I would look at either the flowmaster classics or the S/S flowmaster 40 series (you would have to custom fit these ones). Both set-ups are made form 409 SS so they should last longer than the aluminumized steel. I believe you can get the super 44s in 409 SS also.
