Thats right Goldenpony, I am 45 myself and having the cash to upgrade is sweet!! 18 was fun, but I was a brokedick back then! LOL

Congrats OP, running around a big track like that simply would be amazing IMO.

After driving around in SUVs and 4 door sedans for the past 20+ years, it's nice to drive a fun car for a change.

I'm 50 and feel like I'm a teenager again with this car. Driving now is fun vs. drudgery.

I here you! I'm 47 and feel every day of it when I'm getting in and out of the stang, but I feel like I'm 20 again when I'm driving it. The only plus is that when I want to drop a grand on something for it I can do it without saving up or debating whether I should do it or not.

Us old timers are like little kids with new toys I'm 49 and enjoy getting out and "playing" with our "toys". Taking it to the track, going to car shows, going on cruises, it's all very enjoyable, and being 'more mature', I enjoy it more and am not as stupid and crazy as in younger days. And plus, it's really great when your spouse is into Mustangs or cars in general just as much, or almost as much, and you both can enjoy doing things like this.

In out local club, I'm one of the oldest guys who regularly hit the drag strip, but I've been told I drive with the heart of a 18 year old...and that's how I feel when I'm doing it! Y'all know what I mean.

Enjoy it all while your still able to do so.

Well crap, I might as well chime in, just turned 49 heading to the big 5.0. Kinda like the 2011 Mustang, ha!! Just got my 2010 a few months ago, and enjoying the heck out of it!!

I went down to Atlanta Motor Speedway a few years ago to the Richard Petty Driving School. Took 8 laps around and had the same issue, can't pass the pace car, they only let me get up to 145mph. But is was friggin HOT in that car!!! What was interesting was how the car was setup, you had to steer right down the straits, and you could basically let go of the wheel in turns, there was so much turn-in, in the setup. It was a blast though.
