Shelby GT or 5.0????
i drive a 2008 shelby gt and was thinking of trading it in for a new 5.0 already talked to my guy at ford and can get a killer deal on the new 5.0 with barely raising my payments that i already have. so the question is do i keep my shelby gt #0359, 1 of 2000, 2008 vista blue shelbys, 1 of 600 coupes. or do i get the new 5.0????????????

I'd keep the Shelby.
Heck.. I'm keeping my GT over the 5.0 because of the body style.
There will be plenty of 5.0's on the road soon.
You can do plenty of things to your Shelby to make them beat a 5.0
But you can never make the 5.0 a Shelby.
Nor can you make it look as good as the 05+09 Mustangs in my opinion.
(Again not knocking you guys with the new body style. Just like the 05-09's better and I know that is just my opinion)

Yea man definitely keep the Shelby GT, that car is beautiful especially in vista blue. I also agree with Blacksmoke, the 05-09 bodystyle is much nicer anyways. I chose my '09 GT over the new '10 GT and I'd do it again.

If you are going to park it and never drive it for the next 20 years, except for homecoming parades, etc, keep the Shelby. If you drive it and mod it, it becomes just another 'Stang.
Look at previous Shelby models. Look at the various Anniverary editions of the Z28, Trans Ams, etc, over the years. The cars that retain value are the ones stored away, and, unfortunately, never enjoyed as they should be.
I think you have a great looking car, but, alas, the downside of driving, modifying, and enjoying our hobby is a bit of a hit on resale value. Twenty years from now some nerd at Barrett-Jackson will want the cleanest, lowest mile, all stock xyzSpecialEditionGTxxx.
