Default best supercharging options for stock manifold

I'd like to know what some good options for superchargers are for my 09 mustang gt. I've found a few that say they're ok with stock manifolds but i wanted to see if anyone has done this before or knows something similar that will work. Thanks

I think the roots and twin screw superchargers completely replace the stock manifold as part of the kit, and the centrifugals all keep it and work fine with it

Intake manifold or exhaust manifold?

Centri, roots or twin screw work fine with stock exhaust manifolds.... while roots and twin screw replace the stock intake manifolds.

the one i was looking at is the vortec v-3 supercharger. what type is that? It makes 9-10 psi at redline. from what i've heard, 10 psi is still safe with stock manifolds. is that true?

Yes, but the tune has to be good. This is the case with any supercharger at any level of boost. I wouldn't go beyond 10psi though.

i wasnt planning on going past 10 psi and i have a guy back home that can do the tuning. And does anyone know if this kit is a centrifugal, roots, or twin screw SC and can someone please explain the difference in all of them.

centrifugal= belt driven SC. builds power as rpms increase. boost starts 2500-3000 rpms
roots and TS are belt driven and are similar:
roots is like Eaton or TVS (Edelbrock or Roush TVS or stock GT500 SC)
TS is like Whipple or KB
the TS has instant torque, boost can be maximum at low rpms.
roots hit hard down low too, but increase slightly as the rpms increase, but very similar to TS.

and dont forget about turbo.

thanks everyone for all the info. I think I'm still going with the V3. Is this kit something that i can do myself or does it require a lot of special tools?
