2011 GT vs. Challenger R/T - help me decide

whats the overall purpose of the ride?? are you wanting all out power, drag racing it or modding it to hell?? or do you want something torquey, rims, exhaust system, and mild bolt ons? If I got the RT, I'd just throw some rims on it, an exhaust system, rear louvers and be done If it ain't that fast, at least it'll look good slow lol.. actually, 14.5s ain't "that" slow..

This will be my daily commuter and ride to get around and see friends, whatever. I'm looking for something with great acceleration and reasonable handling. I'm considering eventually to head to an autocross, but that's not the primary mission.
Any modding I do will be performance/handling. I'm not really interested in cosmetic additions.
Looking for a good looking, reliable ride that also let's me feel it push me back into the seat when I lay on the throttle.

The 5.0 is obviously a far superior car when it comes down to numbers, but the Challenger is BY FAR the sexiest looking vehicle on the road. I don't know how that's even debatable. If you want the meanest machine, get the mustang. If you want the best looking ride, get the challenger.

The Challenger is a pig and of the 3, it's the LEAST appealing to me. I consider it boring at best. I used to be a Chevy guy but the Camaro is less retro looking than the Stang although it does look good. My only gripe with the Stang is that the front and rear of the '10 and '11 just lost a lot of that retro look compared to the '05-'09. But that 5.0L engine packed into a light frame is simply killer.

I was actually thinking the same thing. Currently my "winter beater" is a focus and it handles really well on snow and ice, but before the focus the winter beeter was a ranger, the ranger was 2wd & rwd as is the challenger, but the challenger weighs much more than the ranger so with some good winter tires it would in fact be a good winter driver. And a good looking one at that!
