Got my 06 GT with 16k miles for $15,600. I offered 15k (sticker was 23k). Two days later I got it for my price. I ran a carfax on the car which had been on the dealers lot for 4 months. They wanted it gone.........good for me.

OP, Cali special Gt is a sweet ride. I had never knew they existed before I bought mine. Not a single one on Maui either. If I could do it over, thats what I would get for a used car. Work the dealer..........dont be in a hurry and you can get a good price on it. Low ball em big time.

thanks for all the input guys. they seemed to not want to come down lower than $25k. plus they only wanted to give me $17.5k for my truck (its blue booked for $19k clean trade in) so i said peace out and call when you want to negotiate better. im not in a hurry, its a beautiful ride but theres plenty out there just like it!

Don't know if you are willing to drive to Beckley or not, but there is a medium-sized car lot down here called "Mid-State Auto". The guy loves muscle cars and has several on his lot. I am almost certain he has two CS's. He has been pretty reasonable on prices too. He also has a couple gt500's.

They're crazy. 26K is a frickin RIPOFF for that car.

Let someone else bring the vaseline and give them 25 for that car. Get on autotrader and start looking. There is no way you can't find a WAY better deal than that. Would take me about 5-10 minutes to find something similar for easily 3-4K less asking price than that.

Just because you're on L.I. Otherwise, that's a $19k-$21k car.

Yea around here (tristate area) you can get a 30k miles 06-07 coupe GT for $20k. All the convertibles are at least $23k and this one has only been driven 1k miles per year.

The car is immaculate though so its very tempting.
