Default Need exhaust help

So, I have SLP LM's on right now, and love how loud they are and such, but, the other day, my friend stopped by with his 98 Cobra, and I couldn't get over how it sounded. Then I was in Myrtle Beach for mustang week and heard multiple 01 to 04 stangs that had a similar sound. Any setup for an S197 that is compareable to these? Very loud and raw.

you are not going to duplicate the sound of a NE, or a cobra (are the 98's 4v?)
the best you can do is make your S197 sound as best it can.
the S197 can sound pretty badass IMO.

you can start by going to an o/r midpipe, LT's. but with your LM's that wouldn't sound that good. would probly need to get hi-flo cats or resonators, or straight thru midmufflers with the LM's and o/r midpipe.

The 96-98 cobras were 4v motors (used to have a 97). totaly agree with never getting that beautiful sound from the S197, but midmufflers with a catted X sounds pretty damn good!

Getting the right exhaust tone is a freaking journey. I went from decent loud with spintech axlebacks with xpipe. Added LTs and it got real loud. Added cams and it got really stupid loud. Just driving to the gym at 25 mph sounded like a retarded loud drag car. Changed to flows and then added m80 mufflers as resonators. Now its finally complete.

Long tubes will give you that raw sound but then you gotta deal with the drone and trumpeting. Good luck.
