Yes, by simply pulling the ground wire for the fog's fuse in the fusebox and re-grounding it with a wire elsewhere you can keep your fogs on with high beams (bambi mod), although it is illegal. It is also pointless since with high beams you are supposed to be focused down the road and not in the immediate foreground (which the fogs illuminate). With an intense foreground your pupils tend to dilate and you don't focus down in the distance.

This is much the same reason that HIDs in factory reflector housings isn't beneficial since a lot of people who install them tend to aim them down a bit to reduce glare for oncoming traffic (which it doesn't), only to intensify foreground illumination which causes the problems mentioned above. So while HID is much brighter than factory halogen, it isn't exactly benefitting your vision (especially above 5000 kelvin temperature). Now, HID in proper projector housings is an entirely different story.

It seems the word HID is troll bait. Something is definitely a miss with this website. Buyer beware!

I actually bought my 8500 hid's from mustang muscle 3 years ago for 289.00 and they are a high and low beam set up and came in a hard metal foam lined case . They were phillips HID ballast (best made) and were a complete plug and play set up and have worked flawlessly since install. Sadly Mustang Muscle discontinued selling them Or so I have heard..

Depends on the state...here in WV you're allowed a maximum of 4 forward facing lights to be on at any given time, but I see people breaking that law all the time too...

Retrofitting HID projectors is the only safe and effective way to implement high intensity lighting into your vehicle. Plus it performs 100x better than the cheap plug/play stuff. Stick to 4300k or 5000k for best visibility and highest luminous output.
What he said! You get what you pay for.
