Exclamation Noise Diagnosis. At a loss. NEED REAL HELP.

O.K. I had my SLP's removed after installing long tubes and a catted x because it was too loud and caused vibration in the dash.

I had the stockers put back on and I kept hearing a rattle in the back like the mufflers were hitting something.
The stockers were too quiet so I bought a pair of used Bassani's from a buddy.

We put them on. They sound great. But the rattle in the back is still there.
It is BAD once the car is warm.
We have checked everything to make sure it is bolted tight and checked the heat shields along with the hangers.

Cannot find ANYTHING touching.
I did notice that there is a metal piece that is behind the plastic part of the bumper where the cutouts for the mufflers are on the bumper.
There is little clearance there but two people told me they did not think that is the problem.

ALSO.... my high flow catted X is BBK.
I noticed the the BBK stamp is actually backwards so it reads KBB.
So the x pipe must be upside down or something.
Could that be causing the problem?

The way I would describe the sound is it sounds like there is something loose and the mufflers are rattling against something.
But we can't find ANYTHING.

I also took it to a muffler shop and they thought it was the back hangars
not the closest to the bumper.
They shaved it or something but no luck.

I have no idea what the hell is causing this but I can't take it.
The rattle is HORRENDOUS.

I really need some help on this.
Anyone think it could be the X pipe like I said or that metal plate type thing behind the plastic part of the bumper?
Any other things I need to check?

I know you mentioned that the muffler shop checked the hangers but i'm fairly certain that they are causing your headache try a different shop or check it out your self.

Problem solved.

It was the over axle pipe touching the bar underneath it on the drivers side.
Thx for the suggestion though!
