Default Header/exhaust problem

I installed BBK headers and polyurethane motor mounts on my car a couple months ago. I had a local exhaust shop modify my O/R X to fit my headers. I have developed several problems and need help I'm tired of trying to fix it myself.

First problem is that, when hot, above 2k rpm my exhaust has a horrible shake. I've checked everything its all tight and snug. I still have an exhaust shake. When I say shake I mean banging. Its happens about 80% of the time.

Second problem is that I have a reoccuring check engine light, with codes P0133 (Oxygen Sensor slow response Bank 1 Sensor 1) and P0153 (Same thing just Bank 2)

Thanks ahead!

First off... how did they modify it?
I guess you did not get a BBK X to go with the headers?
Does the X have hangers to hold it in place?
Have you had the shop check and make sure the headers are not coming in contact with each other?

I am guessing your engine light is coming on because you have no cats and you need a tune adjustment. (to turn the sensors off.) Some people say you don't have to do this but you DO.
Check the BBK site... or you can ask the BBK guy here. You do need to turn the sensor off or you will get those codes thrown at you.

I had stock manifolds with a UPR O/R X, they pretty much just cut the up bend out and welded the flange and O2 bungs to the x. So the x does have hangers. Thanks for the Advice looks like a custom tune!

NP check the new headers like I said to make sure no contact is being made.

As far as the banging, have you got the car on a lift and had it running while on it so you can take a look at this "shake" you are talking about?
Have you SEEN the shake or are you just hearing it?

If you have seen the x shaking itself... something HAS to be loose.
If you have not SEEN it actually shake... it could be just something coming in contact with the pipe once it is heated up and it has expanded.

I just got a exhaust problem sorted out today.
Mine was a HORRIBLE rattle and ended up being the over axle pipe contacting a bar right below it once the pipe heated up.

It's like I was told... you really gotta get it on a lift and look closely.
Having the car heated up nicely and running while it is on the lift can help enormously as well.

Drive the car about 15-20 min before putting her on the lift to get the pipes heated up and expanded.

Since you have an axle back, check where it goes over the axle. When installing the X, the cat back could very easily have been moved out of position and one side is now banging on the spare tire well, frame, or somewhere else in that vicinity.
Just something to check.
