Can you determine what time the alarm was set off?
Just wondering if there's a way to use my tuner to determine what time my car alarm was set off this afternoon. I came out of my office for lunch and someone had hit my car, the front bumper needs to be replaced. First two estimates came in around $1,000.
Anyway the ******* that did it drove off, maybe if I can see what time the alarm was set off (assuming it was set off) I can get an idea of who it may have been (we have people coming into my office for pickups throughout the day).
Unfortunately I accidentally set the alarm off myself later in the afternoon so hopefully the system remembers the last few times it was set off
anyway thanks in advance for any suggestions

Are you speaking of the factory alarm? The alarm system is not part of the OBDII system, so I doubt your tuner will find any codes. If you found it at lunch time then you know it happened sometime from when you parked it to when you discovered it. I'd pull all the paperwork between those times and call every company that had a pickup/delivery. Ask to speak to someone in charge of the drivers. If you can get a supervisor on the phone, inform them that there was a hit and run accident that day and you'd like their permission to have the police contact them. Don't even let on that it was your car. Who cares if the police call or not, you'll probably scare the jerk into confessing his awful crime! Good luck though, I had this idiot back into my Mustang in line at the car wash. This idiot then pulled into the car wash, had his wash, and then left as if nothing happened! Needless to say I got the plate number, called the cops and waited. They went to his house, where he told them he didn't think anything happened. I was like WTF?!?! Then the cop told me that they couldn't write a ticket because it happened on private property (gas station). All this because I was nice enough to get out and tell this guy his trunk was popped open. Next time I will laugh as the idiot in front of me has a car wash with an open trunk.
