Ok. I am at a red light yesterday.
Have my radio on. Light turns green I go and tires SLIGHTLY spin and I think I hear someone honk at me.
So I say to myself "ok someone got bad that I did that... my bad."

I get to the next red light.... IT HAPPENS AGAIN.
I look around and no one is there to honk at me.
I know something isn't right.

So I get on a neighborhood road and come to a stop.
I take off with a slight spin of tires... and the damn sound is there!

Has anyone ever heard their tires make a sound like a horn almost when they spin?
Or am I looking at something else wrong here?

P.S. two people that have ridden with me say it is the sound of the tires spinning.
But both know jack on cars.

You keep stepping on a goose when you hit the gas pedal?

Could it be a suspension groan? You MUST be able to tell if it's from the front or rear and which side. Have someone stand next to the car in a parking lot and do some take-offs.

No rain.
Does NOT sound like a groan.

It sounds like a HORN.
exactly.

Does not do it any other time cept when the tires spin.
And its not like spinning ALOT sitting there roasting the tires.

It's like you spin and take off pretty quickly right after the spin.
Like when you accidently spin.

So when you take off hard the suspension geometry shifts abruptly putting load on all the joints. What happens if you are cruising along and hit the brakes really hard, but just short of engaging the ABS? You should get the opposite effect of when you launch hard. Does it make the same noise?

I'm gonna check and see if it does that.

But why would it do it ONLY when the tires are spinning in that case?
