I really think you took my comment way too seriously, and if you plan on staying around here then you better get a tougher skin.

Going WOT in a car is not beating on it. Who the hell told you that? Now, going to WOT and dumping the clutch, that is beating on it, but once you're in gear, going WOT is just exercising the engine. This car, like every other performance-oriented car built in the last 15 years, is designed to go WOT; things are built around that principle.

You will not hurt your mustang going WOT in gear. You might if the engine is cold, or you go into gear while WOT, but just stepping on the throttle is just driving the car how it was meant to be driven, literally.

With the drive by wire, who really knows when the PCM is giving you WOT
even though you are requesting it with the pedal all the way to the metal.

WOT is a moot point with todays DriveByWire systems.

p.s.
the AC compressor will not run with a WOT request from the gas pedal...

anyone who is data logging or using a Aeroforce scan gauge can see 100% throttle.

Yea, my MSD DashHawk reports WOT conditions as well...
But for the average daily driver asking about WOT and what it means....
