There are two times that I can hear a slight noise best described as buzzing coming from my stang.

1. When standing out side of my car while its idling. It sounds like is coming from the drivers side under the hood or fender?

2. When at speed (80+) it sounds like its coming from the drivers side door.


THese could be two seperate issues but he noise is the same. Sounds like a piece of sheet metal is vibrating?

Anyone else notice this in their cars?

i have that problem too but on the passenger side... no idea its not really noticedle unless i turn off the radio and the AC. dont hear anything at idle though so mine may be different. only hear it at about 75-80mph

From outside the car, you may be hearing the injectors as well as the variable timing stuff. It is sometime described as almost sounding like a diesel. F150's are notorious for that. As far as inside the car, make sure that the sound induction tube boot is seated all the way in the firewall. Mine had slipped out ( or was never really pushed in ) and I had road noise as well as hot air blowing into the cabin.
