Default Broken plug....

Well, mine had 25,000 miles and as I read about here...Do a little preventative maintenance. I am a pretty good in the garage and have been for many years but nothing like this crap with the 3v heads and the spark plugs breaking off in the head. I followed the TSB and got seven out and one broke. WTF!!! Off to the dealer being towed and the repair cost was $330.00+tax and that includes new plugs and their install. I have to drive it home so I had to have them itstall them. I spoke with a mechanic at the dealer and he advised the TSB on that is just a guide. It doesn't always work. He pointed out another F-150 in the shop with the 4.6L...broke 7out8 same thing. He advised it is a horrible design and there is really no way around it...if you drive your car. Oh...did I mention the repair cost was $330.00 to replace my plugs. This is nuts..I am really considering selling the vehicle.

TSB..technical service bulletin.

I used ht1's. Installed with nickel anti seize so they will come out with no issues next time.

Werd! If you have high mileage, then throw in a can of seafoam prior to removal. It can't hurt. I've removed my plugs 4 times now, at least.
