07 GT whipple supercharger throttle response question?
#11
When I put the transmission into gear the car makes a thunk sometimes. But it doesn't leak everytime when I drive it. It takes a second when I put it into gear for it to engage the gear. When I hit the gas the car doesn't rev before it goes it just goes after the wait time. I've asked the man that installed the supercharger and he thinks it might be the throttle body sensor. I just was asking because there are alot of you guys that have mustangs and have dealed with these kind of problems before. I thank everyone for there help and hopefully will get it fixed. Im still driving it but will take it to the shop when I get a chance. If any one knows whats going on please let me know and thanks again for the help everyone.

Oh a answer to the question above. Even in park when I rev the engine it takes the same amount of time the 2-3 seconds. I just bought the car a month ago and a 72 year old man had it installed and ever since I've had it it has been doing the 2-3 seconds of lag on the throttle. It only has 700 miles on the supercharger and upgrade. He also had 3.73 gears installed before he sold it. It has been well taken care of, because you can tell when you look at the car. We just use it as a show peace no drag racing or any of that. We are just enjoying the car.

This was a big concern when I had the 400 kit with the FRPP tune with the one shot deal procal tuner(no adjustment). When I would depress the gas pedal it felt like it depressed 2 or more inches before the revs started to come up and then the converter had to lock and then we were off to go anywhere. I think that is where your getting your 2 to 3 seconds of lag. My car was exactly like this and was dangerous when trying to pull out into traffic.I told Ford Racing and they said there was NO WAY ANY OF THEIR TUNES COULD DO THIS. I was told they purposely put lag in their tunes because of warranties when the car is supercharged(not by them). After a few letters and getting nowhere I went to JDM and got an e-mail tune. Lets just say it was night and day between the tunes.Like said above These are tuff tunes to get spot on.I would think get an e-mail tune and try it before you go yanking your tranny out. JDM knows lots about these kits and trannies. Good luck to you.
