Default Experiencing A Miss With My 2005 Vortech Supercharged GT

Hey guys, I have been having this problem a while and am just now finally trying to address it. The situation is a miss, a sputter that happens at wide open or heavy throttle. Installing new spark plugs made the car run bitchin' for a bout a week, but it quickly started missing again. I am wondering is this something that could be worked out with the Diablo tuner that came with the blower kit, or do I need to look into something else? I have the H.O. intercooler charger. I would really appreciate some tips from you gearheads!

What did you gap your plugs at? Normally a boosted car will run a much narrower gap to prevent a spark blow out...

My guess is that you need a better tune...
Talk to the big dogs like Brenspeed, Bama, VMP etc...
You will gain better performance in the process as well.

If it started happening all of the sudden and had ran good prior, then check the following:

All intake tubing and connections from the MAF to the throttle body. This includes the space around where the MAF goes in. Check your MAF, see if it's dirty.
All vacuum lines.
All wiring to the COPs.
Exhaust leaks prior to O2 sensors.

Being the problem went away for a while with new plugs then that's where I would look. Pull the plugs out and see how the car is running, you may be fouling out plugs.

I didn't gap them, they were installed with the factory settings. This might be a problem?

Yeah I must be fouling them. The question though is why? I paid like a hundred buck for plugs, I hate to be blowing that money when the performance doesn't last and they keep fouling.

Yeah, you need to gap them. The gap you'll need depends on the boost you're running. I would guess 5-8 lbs, gap at .035, 9-12, .032.

Gap the plugs, as Dysan recommended and have the thing custom tuned right away.

You can't run stock gap on a SC'ed car, with the increased cylinder pressure you most likely blowing out the spark.
