Sorry if I sounded confrontational nuke...that wasn't my intention. Just stating what I hear and see all the time. My personal experience was similar to the OP's although my car doesn't have a scratch on it or any problems with the interior or hood....

I saw around four S197 GT's on ebay for under 17000 after looking this evening and I know around here at car lots they are even worse. Of course I don't know anyone that is going to pay asking price at a lot...

What was the TSB on your wife's pony car regarding the fuel pump???

What is up with that fuel door? i just bought an 07 for 19600 with 18K but..... certified with warranty until 2013 and I had upside down trade so I think price was a little high but I paid 0 out of pocket and had chitty trade.

Overall I think it's a fair deal if you like the car. if you get 11K for your car that is good. I work at a finance company one of my dealers just bought an 04GT vert for 6900 at the auction although it had 100K

Around here an '06 V6 is substantially cheaper then a '06 GT. About $5K price difference.

Thanks for the feedback. I slept on it and as much as I'd like an S197 right now, I will probably keep my 04 for a couple more years. Even low it's a lot slower, part of the fun is the sound of the V8 and changing gears. I'm married with a daughter and don't go to the track or street race.

Mine is the anniversary package with Arizona beige stripes & I've never seen another one like it on the road, so it does feel somewhat unique. When the time is right, I may set my sights on a 08-09 Bullitt - love the clean sleeper look.

If the sound is something you really love, then KEEP your 04. As much as it pains me to say it, the 3v's sound like poo compared to the 2v.
