Yeah that was the whole reason I got interested. For 10 rwhp $600 is too much. For 30+, its not bad...

Its cause your thinking about it back wards, it expands to its natural shape when the throttle body is open and the vacuum on the intake is released. It is re-enforced to not expand outward under boost, but it collapses under vacuum.

Dunno man, thats what he told me. I trust them to not be morons, so perhaps something got mixed up in the translation of one of our conversations as to what we were talking about. I'd like to know what it REALLY is worth then... perhaps since I was asking about a bone stock car with the blower that the # would be different?

I am going to have to know WHY they built it to do that.

It is going to have to be more than Ford saying it is safe for me to "buy" into this.
I would need reasons to why they designed it to do this.

It would have to be something that was not just safe... but INCREASED safety and
performance. Watching it do that scares me that much.
