Default Anyones clutch pedal get stiffer after driving?

Trying to understand if their is a problem with my car that I can get repaired under warantee.

Car is a 2010.

When I start the car after it's been sitting for a couple of hours the clutch is silky smooth and very easy to depress. It gets progressively hard to push in as I drive and the car warms up. On hot days 90+ after sitting in traffic for 30 mins it gets harder to push then my 02's cable driven clutch. Once the car cools down it starts all over again.

I don't remember it being like this when new but is this relativly normal with the 05+ stangs with the hydrolic clutch? I'm assuming it's not normal but have no clue what would even cause something like this. If yours did this or you have an idea of where to start I'd apprecaite the advise. I'd like to try and point the dealership in the right direction if at all possible so I don't get the, "can't reporduce" message.

Are you saying the pedal is stiffer to put to the floor? Or are you trying to say the shift is difficult? Mine is opposite when the weather is cold it seems difficult to shift into first or reverse what ever the case may be!

What you are descibing is not supposed to happen.
The clutch pedal is never supposed to become harder to press in ever, hot engine, cold engine, hot outside temps, cold outside temps, you sneezing on it, etc.

Take it in to the dealer tech for warranty work. But be sure to do this; make sure you car is completely warmed up so when he takes it for a ride, he will definitely feel the excessive back pressure on the pedal.

I have heard of pedals becoming spongy etc. when your slave cyliner was going bad.
In fact, everything I have heard of with clutches going with time etc. is the clutch becoming too soft.

Too stiff almost sounds like somthing mechanical going wrong instead of wear.
I am not a clutch exert by any means though.

It's the pedal. The shifting is fine.

Thanks to all that posted. I'll set up some time to take it in. Anyone have an idea what could be at fault? I was thinking the fluid may be getting to hot but would generally cause a softer pedal. Maybe the throwout bearing?

Weird mine does it too. Just bought it 2 mos ago 07 with 21K Every morning to work...... 15 miles highway when i push clutch in first time to get off ramp it's hard as **** to push.... then lightens up next couple of pushes......Considering I have extended warranty I bet they give me the run around. I also feel a little play in axle when dumping in second gear at 45-50MPH I've got 3:31's and a little taking of in 1st normal.

Throw out bearing is built in with the slave cylinder in our cars.
Usually people report a spongy feeling when this goes out or some strange noises.

I have not heard of the pedal becoming more stiff with a bad slave cylinder.
