AFTERMARKET.
It was installed during the 0-3 miles on the OD timeframe.
GOTO dealer and ask him as none of us would (could) know.

Just don't push the button and look directly into the light at the same time.

yeah nobody else ive seen has it. i might go ask ford. maybe they might know......or not.

ironic that kenny17 said the governments watching me though. thats the first thing me and my gf said when i bought it! lol

not too worried about it though. already pushed the button with the car on and off and nothing happens. so i know it doesnt kill anything. maybe it resets something?

You should be able to trace the wires from the button at the kick panel and get some idea what it's all about. If you bought the car new then I'd be VERY curious WTF is going on.
