Default Aluminum D-shaft + Tri-Ax vs. LCA, UCA, Relo's, struts

I drag race my car and its also a daily driver in the summer. I can only afford one of those two options of upgrades. Any input on which is going to be better for improving dragstrip ET's?

option 1 - Aluminum D-shaft + Tri-Ax
option 2 - LCA's, UCA's, Relocation brackets, struts

Why does it have to be broken up that way?

I'd get a short throw shifter, LCAs and aftermarket struts. Should be under $1000 canadian and all very easy to install.

With all the issue surrounding vibrating aluminum shafts, their high price, lengthly installation and small performance increase; I've steered clear of them. I was actually given an aluminum shaft when I bought my car. The previous owner had installed it and removed it because it sucked. It's been sitting on my shelf till this day.

The best combo would be

• MGW shifter
• CHE LCA
• CKE k-member brace w/ torque limiters
• Driveshaft

I have a Dynotech alum. driveshaft from brenspeed and it's been one of the mods i've liked the most, no increase NVH and it seem likes the car may rev faster. (maybe just my imagination or wishful thinking haha) Only takes about a half hour to 45 minutes to install and removes alot of weight, they are expensive though. Option two would would help with traction and option one would help with acceleration, so it' really more of what you want at the moment.

30-45 minutes? Get serious. On a lift with somebody experienced, maybe. At home in the garage on jack stands, 3-4 hours is more like it.

Removes a lot of weight, like 20 lbs out of 3500 lbs car? It's rotating mass but with such a small diameter, it amounts to a hill of beans.

OP: You won't need torque limiters if you get the steeda TriAx. With the stiff polyurethane bushings it uses, it's like a brick ****e house.

I happen to have a garage with a lift, so yes that did make it much easier, but 3-4 hours now I should be the one asking if you are serious? Also 20 pounds from rotating mass is alot. It's not like alot has to be done to swap them out, remove catback, 1 cross brace, remove driveshaft, bolt on plate, bolt driveshaft and replace catback.
