Question Worried about something, would like some info.

I had a shop install gears, cams, long tubes, a catted x, and
a custom tune about 6 mo. ago.

Well some may know that shortly after, basically a week or so after,
I took my car to the dealership for a knocking noise I was hearing.
Turns out the noise was in the transmission and when they took it apart
to look it it I had multiple things wrong.
I had teeth in one bearing missing, along with some other issues that
forced me to have to get a new transmission.

My car has been running fine every since.
But I heard about this shop firing all but 2 of it's employees
recently because of all the problems they were having with the
quality of work.

What worries me is this...
Is there something they could have F-ed up on the install of these
components that could cause me to have problems much farther
down the road?

As I said the car is running fine now.
I don't know if one of their younger employees screwed my tranny when
they took it out for test driving, or they did it on the dyno...
or what.
All I know is that the knocking noise was NOT there before
I took it to the shop.

I just wonder if someday something else could go wrong if the install
of the gears or cams was screwed up or something, OR if that would have already happened again by now.

Thanks

Its just another arguement for doing every possible install yourself. I know its not always possible but man it sucks to pay good money and then have to worry if they did a proper job.
Blacksmoke, just move on dude.

I doubt you could find any proof that the techs were responsible. Even if the hardware they installed could have affected the tranny (which it would not have), proving that they abused your car would be near impossible.

Short answer: Yes, more things could go wrong.

Longer answer: Things could go wrong even if you had never touched the car.

Final answer: Stop worrying. The more time you spend thinking about what COULD go wrong, the less you'll enjoy driving your car like you should. If you're THAT worried, ditch the car and get something more reliable.
