Default 535hp procharged GT for $25k

What do you guys think? It certainly has a heck of a lot of upgrades and the mileage is pretty low for an 06. Even a stock GT with the hood and custom wheels would run $20k... so the rest he's got on there makes me think this is a good deal. Scroll down to see what's on it: 535hp Procharged GT

Good looking ride but way overpriced, especially since the 5.0's are out.

I'm not sure where you get your #'s, but even a stock '06 GT with options won't sell for more than $15k-$17k. And since you never get your money back on mods, that GT should be priced at about $20k-$21k, tops. Of course, there are folks that will post it on a forum and expect everyone to tell them it's a steal...

I take it he means 60k invested including the purchase of the car? Even buying it new, that might be a stretch. All that money and power and he's still running around on the stock block. Nice looking car though.

Yeah 60K and doesn't even have a built engine. Somethings wrong with that picture.

over 20k for a stock GT as the seller claims.....

15299
add a $700 hood, $500 prepped and painted, set of deep dish rims from american muscle $600, set of supercar tires to go on em $600, procharge 8lb kit off lethal site $5,700
Thats 23399 for you to buy a newer car and buy all the parts new yourself. The person selling that car is trying to get what the car is worth + all the mods at 100% of there new price. The only way that guy has 60k in that car is including the car and getting taken to the cleaners on the labor for install. Something like 15k+ in install/labor would be my guess to justify that.

A few much better options in that price range:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/500-H...item19c0fa6662
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MUSTA...item2eb12ef0c5
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-RO...item43a3098495
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/682rw...item2eb1451822
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Super...item255ee170b7

This prices of these cars, even suprcharged, has plumeted since the 5.0 came out. If I were to sell mine right now, I would probably ask 25k but I have a lot more money into mods and I assume much more power. The only reason I say assume, is he did not say RWHP so I would bet that 535 is crank HP and closer to 455 rwhp.

You got an 05 GT? You looking for yourself, or someone else? Seems like you can build yours pretty easy.

Yeah, like you said, I'm actually planning on building out mine (a little). Just ran across this one when seeing what was lurking around Vegas. It kinda turned my eye since even adding JUST the SC to mine will already put me near $25k invested and mine has 85,000 miles on it.

Not really looking to buy right now.

Didn't expect that at all. C'mom man, slow down with the hating just a hair. You think I was looking for positive replies only? I know good and well, there will be opinions on both sides of EVERY discussion on a forum... it's kinda the point of asking.

@JDwalton: Thanks for the info. Looks like there are indeed better deals out there. I'd definitely build mine, but the mileage is getting pretty high. I know I can break even if I sell mine now... and then start scratch with a lower mileage vehicle to start building on.

Or even join up with my buddy, Red, with a GT500. I can't resist the pull of the Darkside forever, now can I?

I don't think it's a terrible deal. Kelly Blue Book says the stock car is $18500 in excellent shape. Throw in the FI, hood and prep and you're getting close to the $25K mark. All the other goodies really start to add up. If you want the car as it sits, you can't build it yourself for that. It just has to be the car you want.

No way, this guy has negotiation priced in. I might offer $21K for it. No more though.
