Question Hot Rod Cam Question.

Does the install of Hot Rod Cams actually raise your
engine height?

I was wondering because I have them installed
and I have a custom painted plenum cover and I was going
to install a BMR strut tower brace that is built to clear plenum covers.

But I don't know if the engine is actually sitting higher than
it was before or not. (meaning I don't know if the brace will clear or not)
I remember someone saying something about the cams
increasing the actual engine height but I have no clue why.

I cant really see how they would raise the engine, so i doubt it.

I don't understand how anyone could ever say or think that cams could increase engine height

if you are not careful during the install, you could leave part of the cam sitting
between the engine mount and the frame. but only an inexperienced mechanic
would do something like that.

Doesn't have anything to do with engine height, but you may be smoking something affecting your "height"
