Heat damp from new rotors and pads/ hard brake pedal
Sup Guys,
I placed my Powerslot slotted rotors today on all 4's along with hawk ceramic brake pads.
The brake pedal is way harder, and it doesn't take nearly as fast as it should.
Also after 10min of driving and taking her op to 100mph, and braking fairly lightly, i noticed heat damp coming from the rear rotors when i pulled over almost 5minutes later.
What can i do about these 2 problems? After feeling the brake pedal i'm hesitant to drive her in traffic, you really have to press it all the way to get her to stop.
Any advise?

1 question.
Did you bed the pads to the rotors?
If not, thats your problem...
Note:
Hawk Performance burnishes its High Performance Street brake pads as a final step in the factory,
but all brake pads have to be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used against.
Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor
interface to maximize brake performance.

Wow, i feel like an idiot. First time i've replaced rotors. And the pads never acted up before so i never stopped to think they might have to be bed in. I take it i've damaged the rotors as well as the pads by abusing them too early. Should i replace the pads or are the rotors messed up as well?
