Default Which brake setup?

Car is fast, brakes are just ok, would like better one. Current stock setup has 20k miles. Not spending big money on a big brake setup. Need for these to fit my wheels.

Of these two setups, anybody got an opinion?

Powerslot rotors and Hawk HPS pads
http://www.brenspeed.com/ps05all.html
http://www.brenspeed.com/05-08-musta...rake-pads.html

total cost $560

Or, the stoptech setup for a GT

http://www.brenspeed.com/86-330-01414.html

total cost $692

Or is there something else I should look at?

I have the exact set up that's on the top. However, I got my discs on sale at Summit for nearly half of that. Braking is much better. No fade from high speed stops. No vibration. I do get a squeal when the brakes get warmed up in stop and go traffic. Modulating thepedal pressure a little bit takes care of the squeak.

@ Simon1: So, if i take your post a face value, you're saying Ford stock brakes have a vibration? Interesting...

So yes and no.

I define high speed stops as 140 or to almost zero. The OEM padsout gas severely and create more heat or a condition that will hot spot a rotor. Both my fronts were hot spotted. Hot spots look like a blue color in the metal.

I planned on only replacing the pads and after emoving the rotors and inspecting them, I saw the hot spots. I replaced them with the powerslots, although I was not dead set on anything with drilled holes or slots. Just wanted another set that was a little better as described by some people who woned them.

So now when I go to the track and I slow down from 125 to 10 mph to hit the return road, no hot brakes. When I hit a high speed on the freeway, the brakes grab, keep grabbing and slow me down.

The only draw back I have noticed is slightly more brake dust and asqueaking when they are warm and I am in traffic.

So the vibration is from hot rotors with stock pads, doing high speed braking.

Its way cheaper than the powerslot setup. My guess would be imported cheap crap. Looks cool, but weak performance. IDK. Maybe someone will chime in.

Ive been trying to contact RotorPros about their brake rotor and pad package for around $320-340...alot of guys really seem to like these rotors.

Also a question for you guys with PowerSlots, which ones did you get? the regular rotors or the Cryo-treated rotors....im trying to buy some off www.autoanything.com with their 15%off + free shipping coupon

I have the exact same rotors and pads, also purchased them from brenspeed. I've read a few good reviews thats why i bought those. However i've had some issues after having them installed during a scheduled maintenance last week. I just posted a thread about it.
I have steam coming from the rear rotors after some hard braking, for example when i want to do a little burnout. The pedal also feels sketchy it doesnt react as well as it should. I'm pretty sure the installers did something wrong as i've never read anything bad this setup before. Just my 2cts
