Intake problem and RPM bounce

Intake problem and RPM bounce
So I bought the JLT and SCT X3 package for my 2010 GT. I installed the intake but it seemed that it didnt fit right. The whole intake sits up high and when I close the hood the hood hits it a little. But my main problem is the RPMs. When I through it in neutral and high speeds the RPMs bounce then the car dies. And at lower speeds 40- the RPMs will bounce a little but not die and at idle the RPMs will slowly rise up and down. I got my tunes checked and they are fine. So is it the intake that would be giving me the issues? Also sometimes the electronic throttle contol light will come on. Any ideas?

Whats an "electronic throttle contol light"?
Are you throwing a CEL? If so, what's the code? If your clamps aren't tight and oriented correctly, you'll suck air and get a CEL for running lean.
Pics of the install? You may need to tear it out and re-install it. Sounds like you have something mis-adjusted.

The car has to be driven for 20-50 miles to allow the ECU to re-learn the idle strategy.
There's also a procedure in the battery maintenance section of the owner's manual that may help to expedite the re-learning process.

If you can't seem to figure this one out, reinstall the stock tune and airbox and lift a battery lead for about 20-30 minutes, then put about 25-50 miles on the car. Everything should be normal unless there's something else that is happening, unrelated to your install of the CAI & tune.
But even with new tunes, it sometimes takes similar time/miles for the PCM to "relearn".

Been there done that. Have done a battery reset with intake/tune and with the stock tune and air box both resulting in nothing. Brenspeed actually says that their tune disables the PCM from relearning.

I had Breenspeed do my tune at first and i drove it around for ~1.5k miles and it still did it. Then i got Bama to tune it (much better tune in my opinion) and after 50 miles or so the lights went away but still RPM bounce. I might just reinstall it and do the battery. But the only problem still is the intake sits way up and hits my hood when I close the hood. I had to adjust the cone so it would fit. That might be the problem.
