First post - my ride ............. 2011 5.0 .....

I have about a thousand miles on mine and so far no problems at all.

I love this car - fast, reasonably priced, good fuel economy, comfortable, reliable.

I have owned some nice ones through the years, but this is about the best all-around performance vehicle I have ever had - 69 Z-28 Camaro/76-81-83-84 Nissan-Datsun Z-cars/2002 C5 Corvette/2004 Viper truck/2005 Mustang GT ..............

Options:
- premium model
- 6-speed standard
- 3.73 rear end
- 19" wheels
- comfort package

I did a 100-mile run recently to check the potential mileage.

Some in town, but mostly interstate and 4-lane by-pass.

Got on it some in town and on the highway.

Average was about 23.5 MPG.

On interstate at 70MPH in 6th gear, I got a steady 27.5MPG.

Motor Trend tested the new GT500 with the "SVT Performance Package" and got 4.1 seconds for 0-60/12.35 sec @ 115.75 mph for the quarter-mile ........... (www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/1007_2011_ford_shelby_gt500_test/specs.html)

They tested the new 5.0 Mustang and got 4.3 seconds for 0-60/12.8 sec @ 110.8 mph for the quarter-mile - not bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/112_1003_2011_ford_mustang_gt_premium_test/test_numbers.html)

Welcome to the board and wlcome to the world of Coyotes!
And a very damn nice ride you have! I totally agree, for the price, it is a very good cost to performance factor.

Oh yeah, the Coyote on freeway driving will get even better mileage than the advertised 26 MPG. I got just a tick above 28 MPG going 65-70 MPG on a similar 100 mile interstate trip.

COOL car! Looks really nice in red, and the seats look pretty awesome too, but the ONE thing that bothers me about the new mustang is the radio antennae...Ive had cars from the late 90's with integrated antenna's. Is there a reason that I cant seem to find for ford not doing this with a brand new car, or is it just their "style"?
Other than that tiny thing, your car looks amazing! And those rims look pretty sweet too! Nice choice.:icon_clapclap:
