Default Long Tubes going in. Which engine mounts?

I'm still collecting all the parts I need for my Christmas project. I've read that the LT install is a great time to change the engine mounts.

Is this a worthwhile upgrade?

Which ones should I get?

Go with the standard Prothene Mounts. It has been a few years, but got mine new off ebay for 100, believe they can be had for about 120 now.

If you had a S/C or Shaker scoop, might want the lowered Prothenes.

Just reuse stock motor mounts.

I made my own urethane mounts modeled from the Prothene mounts but 3/4 inch shorter. They work great and I don't think they add noticeably to the engine vibration. They do add to the mechanical feel of the car make it feel tighter stiffer. And the car shifts better as the transmission isn't moving about. Lowering the engine didn't cause any problem there was no interference with anything. I don't have headers if it helps you have the option to move the motor down.
