Default Tuner question

So I ordered my SCT tuner with BAMA tunes for AM. I was wondering since I don't have the stock tune (I have the FRPP tune) and it says that the tuner holds the stock tune, will it hold the FRPP tune too?

I would imagine it would.
Call them to check.

When the SCT first asks you if you want to download the stock tune just
hit yes.
I can't remember if it asks you or if it auto downloads it the first time you
hook it up to the computer.

The FRPP didn't come with a procal tool that allows you to revert to stock?

Make sure that when you get the programmer, you read the "Strategy Code" by going to Vehicle Info > Vehicle Info. The strategy code is what you have to program using, you cannot use your stock sticker code, unless you return to stock with the ProCal tool.

If I read you correctly, it sounds like you ordered your tunes using the code off of the PCM's sticker. If so, you'll likely run into a problem trying to load the tunes so ABSOLUTELY do as Chris stated above in his post, first thing before trying load a new tune. I'd then call AM and give them the strategy code. They may need to e-mail you revised tunes. If you try to load the incorrect tune, you run the risk of ending up with a no-start condition until you get the tunes straightened out.

Of course, if you have the ProCal and can return to stock beforehand, then the point is moot.

Yeah, the more I read through it - I realized that had to be ordered off the sticker.

^ Do what he said above, give us a call when you get your device so we can read the strategy instead of the sticker.

I like going off of the factory sticker, anyway. So, preferably I would like to get that ProCal tune out of there and back to stock. However, if you cannot we can work off of it.
