Default Should LCA relocation brackets be welded?

I have BMR LCA's and the relocation brackets and am looking to take my car to the track in the spring. Should the brackets be welded in to make them stronger? I will be running on some form of drag radial. (which tires to be selected at a different time)

No. They don't need to be, I wouldn't.

This is a quote from Brenspeed's website about the BMR relocation brackets : "NOTE: It is necessary to weld the brackets in place if the vehicle will be drag raced." I'm just worried about hooking up and possible breaking the brackets or bending them.

I've read of people running in the 10s without welding them.

That said. I wouldn't. If you are going to be launching hard on slicks or drag radials, and especially if you have a power adder, then get them welded in.

YESSS!!!!

Totally necessary if you are going to the track. There have been several people on this board that pull a good 60' and wrap that relocate bracket around the back side of their axle.

Only takes a few minutes to do.

I welded mine in. Wouldn't do it any other way.

I know JDM uses the CHE reloc brackets on their cars and they don't weld them in, neither do I.

Make anote to the welder to do them in a way that it won't be a nightmare to get them off if need to be.
But yeah, for serious lauch, I'd weld them for sure.
