Default The saga continues....

Two weeks ago I took delivery of my 2011 5.0, 400a, 6m, 3.73, brembo. Being the third GT I've driven, it felt a little soft. Assuming it just needed some break in time and 93 octane, I lived with it.

Being time for some mods, I order a brenspeed stage 1. Having no clue where to find the ECU, I crank out the manual. Out falls the original window sticker, except it does not match the sticker I ordered. Exact same final price, but with the security package instead of my required 3.73's. It has the 3.31's. Crap.

I call my sales guy, expecting to be told tough luck. He instead finds the correct car, and it arrived at the dealer tonight. I drove it, and tomorrow we void the first deal and sign for the right car, a job 2 build this time. Shifter feels better, and the motor lacks my job1's tick.

I will post the results of the signing tomorrow after they have a chance to detail the new/correct car, but so far I am glad they are making this right.

Anyone have this issue happen before?

The saga continues?

That implies you had a story before this one lol.
And a saga is a long and detailed story!

You should have named the thread.
"A short story about receiving the wrong car."

lol!

All kidding aside...
No... I have never heard of this happening to anyone.
That is ridiculous.
I sure know that after I got that car I wouldn't be taking my
car to get serviced there. They may give you parts from the wrong car.

As far as them saying tough luck, that would have been an EASY lawsuit for you.

So I've now had 2 free weeks with the car, one of which was with the knowledge that I am turning it back in. I must admit a bit of guilt for the guy they will ultimately sell this thing to. Of course, for those who claim that a "drive it like a stolen rental" approach gives the best break-in, he may be getting the best broken in motor of all time. For the last 5 days, I could have used wipers on the driver-side window.

Again not much of a Saga.

Just a weird short story that ended well for you.
Next time you post saga... make sure you have a SAGA.

Funny and weird story.
Labeling it saga though annoys the hell outta me for some reason.
Like you were trying to get attention or something lol.

Maybe I just have a corn cob up my butt this morning I dunno.

Glad it turned out well for you.
Some dealerships would have taken the chance and told you to go to hell.
Sounds like this one was smart enough to realize it would have been an open and
shut case for you though.
