Default headers 5 questS?

what headers are good and what should i expect to pay for them
what will the diff be btwn short and long tube headers?
Do they fit on my exhaust or do i need to make adjustments?
what will they give me power wise?
and do i need to tune the car with the pred?

thanks in advance

The factory stuff is pretty good from what I am reading in all the mags. Long tubes only add about 7-8 at the wheels, they say unless you are going to get charged or blown, there are alot better things to spend your cash on.

JBA's are one of the best for both shorties and LT's. MAC has LT's. Another company on RPM outlet has LT's w/ catted X-pipe. Quite a few companies have shorties out but they are not much better than stock and not equal length like the JBA's. JBA's require new motor mounts though for the shorties or LT's. Expect to pay from $400 - $1300 depending on the setup. Shop around.

Get LT's for the most power and shorties for mid range gains, price, bolt to stock H-pipe.

Shorties should fit right in, LT's require a new mid pipe and dropping the cross member.

LT's should be good for about 20-25 with a good tune. Shorties are more like 8-12.

You should have the car dyno tuned after the install or get a "custom tune" from Diablo.

i have JBA LT's and they are awsome you don't loose any ground clearence like alot of LT's seemed to do in years past. and most i have seen this far as far as gains from the JBA's are 20 HP but i heard these headers are good for alot more if you are getting forced induction.
