I personally hate it, and I bought the locking "plug" for mine. I think its going to be an invitation for people to siphon your gas out next time it hits 4 bucks+ a gallon. That little "pee tube" isn't exactly hard to come by for a crook. And if they just poke a hole in the tank, hey at least they can stick their finger into the capless hole to facilitate airflow, lol.

The idea wouldn't be bad, if the stupid fuel door itself has a locking mechanism...

Funny thing happened when I bought the car. In front of the dealer, car prepped, door open and I was ready to get in and drive off, when I asked the salesman how the gas door opened.

He looked inside for the latch to pull and couldn't find it. As he went to the passengerside to get the manual from the glovebox, my wife got out, went to the filler and pushed....

Maybe it wasn't as funny as embarassing....
