Clutch master cyl. reservoir ?
 

Hello,

Looking around under the hood of my '08 GT, and I don't see a fluid reservoir for the clutch ?? I'm pretty sure these cars have a hydraulic clutch system, so what gives? Please excuse my dumb....

IIRC the clutch and brake system use the same reservoir. I could be wrong though.

Im pretty sure you are correct sir. When I went to ford for a Slave Cylinder under warranty, they were bleeding the clutch out of the master cylinder reservoir If I remember correctly.

Nope, you are not wrong...both are one in the same....!!

Ok, well I guess that makes since, since the brakes and clutch use the same type fluid- why not have one res. for both. I just didn't think of that or expect it 'cause all the rest of cars I've had they were separate (and the clutch fluid always seemed to turn blacker, quicker. Which makes me wonder how the clutch fluid will affect the brake fluid sharing the same reservoir....hmm

If you look at the brake reservoir, from the front of the car; the bottom rear of the
reservoir has the slave connected to it. Mine has the tube that comes off the
back, and the barb is there for the push on connector, but the plastic after the barb
is pinch welded shut. I was thinking of opening it up to release the brake fluid so
I can flush it, cap it off, refill then bleed.
