If it's no covered under warranty, I NEVER take my car(s) to the dealer. Of couse, I got extended warranty on the 'Stang, and have had no problems.

Check your lug nuts. Past that, take it back asap.

I wouldn't drive it around and hope it goes away. I'd take it back and tell them it wasn't doing that before and demand that they fix it and demand a loaner car too. Especially with a brake issue. There should be absolutely no issues with the brakes with how much liabaility there is involved on their part. If you got into an accident because of those shakey brakes, they could be liable.

So...took it back to the dealer today. Told them I had the brakes worked on 2 days ago and that something was definitely wrong. I mention major vibration in both the brake pedal and the steering wheel, and a pulsing feel to the brakes. The service advisor says "oh yeah, it was vibrating pretty good when the other day wasn't it. The mechanic figured that's why you wanted to change brake pads." I said no and that it wasn't vibrating AT ALL when braking when I brought it in.

An hour later, the car was brought back out. The service advisor said it was good to go and that they road tested it again. Sure enough, it drives fine now. The nicer side of me won out and I didn't pry them for any information or yell at them. But I'm assuming either a rotor wasn't turned properly before or something wasn't installed quite right. Either way, it's fixed. But you can bet that'll be the last time I ever go to that dealership. Which is a shame, because it's only a mile from my house.

Good you got it fixed. I don't know what it is with dealer service centers and theier inability to fix a car correctly the first time. I've taken the car in for warrenty service with a specific problem and it comes out worse than when I took it in. Sometimes it take 4-5 visits before they finally get the thing fixed...sometime ya just give up.

Interesting comment. Either you work there or have seen my car around town.
